Tip 5, Qualified House Painters in the Boulder, Longmont, Erie, Niwot and Gunbarrel, Colorado Areas.

Looking For a Qualified Painter

Hi and welcome back to our series on the inside secrets to getting the best house painters in the Boulder Colorado area.  So, here’s some additional things to look for in a qualified painter.  Contact your local Better Business Bureau to ascertain if any complaints have been filed against your potential candidate, and remember that you want to check out multiple contractors.  Angie’s List is another good resource and they’re at www.angieslist.com, because if a painter has good reviews on Angie’s List then it’s a good bet that they will do good working for you too.  You also want to make sure that your contractor is committed to safety.  Accidents can happen with almost any home improvement project, so ask your prospective candidate what steps he or she will be taking to prevent injuries and property damage.   Again, if a painter is good at his work, he or she will be able to answer this.  Also be sure to double check about cleanup.  You don’t want to be cleaning up after the painter for hours after they leave your home.  So this is just a couple tips that you can find in the whole guide Insider Secrets to Get the Best House Painter in the Boulder Colorado.  This is a free guide.  Go to BoulderHousePaintersGuide to download the whole guide.  Thanks, see you next time.

Tip 3, Getting Spec. Quotes by House Painters in the Boulder, Erie, Longmont, Niwot and Gunbarrel, Colorado Areas.

Quoting some Specifications

Welcome back to our series on finding a qualified house painters for your home in the Boulder Colorado area.  And I’d like to continue with some more questions to ask when interviewing painters.  Remember, you’re going to want to interview multiple painters before selecting a contractor.  So ask them how many coats of paint will the job require?  Some projects, like painting a new white surface over an old white paint will only need a single coat.  Most colors’, though, required two and sometimes extreme colors many even need three coats.  The number of coats needed will affect the price of your job.  So be sure when comparing estimates that the same number of coats of paint are included in each estimate.  Another really important point to consider in your estimate is how will they prepare the surface for painting?  Proper prep work is the key to a long-lasting paint job, so make sure your painter has a clear plan for washing, scraping, and sanding the surface they will be painting.  If there’re going to be doing exterior work, will they scrape and prime before caulking and painting?  All bear surfaces require a primer.   Previously painted surfaces usually do not require a primer, but peeling paint must be scraped and primed.  So in your estimate, be sure you know what area they’re planning to caulk.  The most common cause of paint failure is due to water and moister getting behind the paint.  For this reason it is a must to caulk all gaps, seams, joints and surface cracks to ensure a tight seal.  I invite you to go to our website and download the whole guide of Insider Secrets to Getting the Best House Painter in the Boulder Colorado Area.  And you can find that by going to BoulderHousePaintersGuide.  Thanks and we’ll see you next time.

Tip 2, Questions to ask House Painters in the Boulder, Colorado Area.

Know The Right Questions

Welcome to our series on learning how to find qualified house painters in the Boulder Colorado area, and this time I want to talk about the right questions to ask.  First, you want to interview several house painters and you want to make sure you get the quote in writing.  So invite your painters to look at the job and ask for a quote in writing.  In the quote, also asked them to specify the time it will take to complete the job.  No one wants to live in a house that’s covered with drapes and cloths.  Also, make sure that each of your contractors in quoting on the same specifications; same area to be painter, the number of coats, and so forth.  Ask them what kind of paint do they plan to use, and what are your options.  Good quality painter will be recommended by good painters.  You probably don’t need the most expensive product, but don’t buy to cheap of a product either.  Make sure the painter can explain the benefits of the paints they recommend, and ask for documentation on any manufacturer’s warranty about the product itself.  If you would like to learn more about the questions you’re going to want to ask when interviewing house painters, go to BoulderHousePaintersGuide and download our free guide.  So thanks for joining us and check back here later for more tips on the inside secrets to getting the best house painter in Boulder Colorado.  Thank you.
